Dear SPARK families,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Latinx Showcase on September 25. This year’s new format gave us even more ways to celebrate and learn about Latinx culture, and it was wonderful to see so many students, families, and staff come together to make the evening special.
We are grateful to those who shared artifacts, stories, and traditions—it made the event even more meaningful. Moments like these help us strengthen our school community and celebrate the diversity that makes East End Elementary such a special place.
With gratitude,
Brian Vannest
Principal
YES Prep East End Elementary

Flyers for Picture Day will be sent home soon. Please be sure to check your child’s backpack for more information.
School Safety
Safety is our number one priority. It is necessary that our staff and students practice responses to crisis situations to ensure that we are prepared in the event of a true emergency. Please partner with us by ensuring that your child is aware of the importance of taking every safety drill seriously for their safety and others. Please take a moment to review the parent guardian guidance that staff and students are practicing throughout this year.

Fall STAAR Tutorials
3rd – 5th Graders Only

Student Assistance Form
If concerns arise for your student in mental health, relational aggression or bullying, family or home life concerns, behavioral concerns, academic struggles, financial hardship, homelessness, and truancy you can click the link below or scan the QR code to submit a referral.

Hello Spark Families,
We are headed into the second quarter. If you are wondering how to support your student, consider having your student work on IReady at home. This is a great program that reinforces skills, supports generalization of skills and provides students opportunities to play learning games. The best part is that all students are familiar with IReady because they use it at school. If you need information on how to log your Spark into IReady, please reach out to your Spark’s teacher and ask for the QR Code.
Thank you for supporting your little Spark in their academic journey.
