Hello Sparks Family,

I am excited to share that my wife and I are expecting our third son in a matter of hours/days. At YES Prep, we value families, and I will be taking leave to welcome our newborn to the Vannest family. East End Elementary is blessed to have our Resident Principal, Ashley Smith, who will be here while I am off campus.

Mrs. Smith was born in Washington, DC, and raised in Temple Hills, MD. She is an educator with more than 10 years of experience working with a globally diverse population of learners. Mrs. Smith has a passion for education, and she is determined to set and reinforce a high standard of excellence for our community here at East End Elementary!

To connect with Mrs. Smith, you may email her at Ashley.Smith@yesprep.org, connect on Dojo, or reach her via phone at 713-835-8491. As you know, principals at YES Prep are often in classrooms and supporting teachers in professional development meetings. The best way to connect with Ashley is by emailing our school’s Executive Assistant, Ann Perez, at Ann.Perez@yesprep.org, and she can set up a specific time for you and Mrs. Smith to connect.

Another important contact is the teacher coach who supports your child’s teacher. They often have more information about specifics in your child's class and can answer questions faster than the principal’s office.

Evelyn Gutierrez's teachers: Bello, Bermudez, Charles, Delgadillo, Flores, Nettles, Ramirez

Ashley Smith's teachers: Conda, Dianna, Torres, Villegas, Battle, Lerma, Marc

I am excited about the work your student will continue to do while I am on leave. Tag, Mrs. Smith, you’re it! 😊

Thank you for choosing EEE where your student can Spark Genius! I can't wait to be back on campus with your children. They mean a lot to me!
